Chule Unplugged: Behind the Spotlight

Creative Director: MAD Miami Art Dept.

Production Design: Nacho Gimenez

Miami. Ever wondered who Chule is when the lights go down, the crowd fades, and the last chord echoes? Spoiler alert: she’s not that different from the girl belting out hits on stage. I sat down with her to peel back the layers—turns out, her reality is a mix of heart, hustle, and a dash of delightful chaos. From indie film-worthy moments in Jujuy to a reflective deep dive that’s shaping her upcoming album, Chule proves that staying grounded is an art in itself. Ready to meet the soul behind the spotlight? Let’s dive in.

Who is Chule when the stage lights go off?
“I’m a pretty simple person. I love spending time with my friends, especially the people I work with because I like having a good connection and friendship. I enjoy what I do because it’s my passion. I love being with my family, reading, going out with friends, and making plans. Sometimes, I’m a little distracted, like I’m living in my own world, but I think that’s just my parallel reality.”

How would you describe your personal style in three words?
“Fun, spacey, and passionate.”

Does your music reflect who you are, or is it an amplified version of yourself?
“My music completely reflects who I am. Even though some songs aren’t about personal stories, many are inspired by experiences my friends have had or situations I observe and reflect on. All my songs have a very personal vision, especially now that I’m working on an album. It’s a very thoughtful and personal project. People often tell me that through my songs, it feels like they know me or understand my life, which confirms that my music is an authentic reflection of myself.”

What keeps you grounded in the middle of all the noise?
“My friends and family keep me grounded. When I was younger, maybe I was less aware of everything I was experiencing, but over time I’ve learned to value their presence. I’m very grateful because they are the ones who bring me back when I get lost in everything this career involves.”

If your life were an indie movie, what would be the most iconic scene so far?
“I’d choose something artistic. In 2020, before the pandemic, I sang at the Carnaval de los Tekis in Jujuy, Argentina. It was a Saturday night at 8 PM, right before Abel Pintos, an incredible artist, took the stage. There were thousands of people, and I was there with my music and my band. That moment was unforgettable, and I would definitely love to relive it. It was amazing.”

What excites you the most about this moment in your career?
“I’m really excited because I’m working on a new album. After a year without releasing music, where I felt disconnected and went through a very introspective process, I’m now pouring all of that into my songs. I’m excited about what I have to say through my music because I feel that a lot of people my age, and people of all ages, will connect with this message full of motivation and companionship. Music has that power to make no one feel alone, and that inspires me so much. This album feels like my relaunch, and I’m really happy to start sharing it.”

What advice would you give to younger generations who are trying to find their voice?
“To the new generations, I’d say: be as authentic as possible. This doesn’t just apply to people making music but to everyone. It’s important to be grateful, be aware of what we’re experiencing, and take control of what we can manage. At the same time, we have to accept that part of life depends on luck. The key is to focus on what we really want, connect with ourselves, and live consciously.
Sometimes we care too much about what others might think, but the truth is, no one cares that much. At the end of the day, you have to be your own judge. My music and this album reflect a lot of this concept: an inner journey, from the inside out. When you’re good on the inside, everything flows better.”
