How does it feel to be part of Feria Clandestina's third edition and showcase your work in such a dynamic, community-focused art fair?

I'm super excited to be part of Feria Clandestina! It's my first time and I'm really looking forward to sharing my work with a wider audience. I love that the fair has such a diverse selection of art and that it's a great place to meet other artists.

  • Your collection "Wonders" has garnered a lot of attention. Can you tell us about the inspiration and themes behind these pieces?

The 'Wonders' collection represents a decade of my artistic journey. I was drawn to the idea of exploring the natural world through vibrant colors and balanced compositions. It's a reflection of my growth as an artist and a celebration of the things that inspire me.

  • The fair is being held at the iconic Gold Dust Motel this year. How does this unique setting enhance the presentation of your work?

I think the Gold Dust Motel is a really cool and unexpected place to hold an art fair. The unique atmosphere and vibe of the motel will definitely enhance the viewing experience for everyone. It's going to create a more immersive and memorable experience.

  • Feria Clandestina is described as Miami’s only community incubator art fair. What does being part of this creative ecosystem mean for you as an artist?

Being part of Feria Clandestina gives me the opportunity to showcase my work to a new audience and get valuable feedback. It's also a great way to support other emerging artists and build lasting connections within the Miami art scene.

  • If your work were to take over an entire motel room, what kind of experience would you want viewers to have?

I'd love to create an immersive collage installation that would make viewers feel like they're falling down a rabbit hole. Imagine a room filled with oversized cutouts and patterns, where you can lose yourself in a world of color and texture.

  • What does your creative process look like? Do you have any rituals or habits that help bring your ideas to life?

My creative process is pretty personal and spontaneous. It really depends on my mood and what I'm feeling at the moment. I usually find inspiration in my everyday life and emotions.

  • Miami is known for its vibrant culture and nightlife. How does the city influence your artistic vision?

Miami is a city of contrasts. I love how the vibrant energy of the city can coexist with the serene beauty of nature. The city's diverse culture and stunning landscapes definitely influence my artwork. The sky, the ocean, and those amazing sunsets are always giving me new ideas. I find myself drawn to the vibrant colors and the overall tropical vibe of the city.

  • You’re exhibiting with the Arts Connection Foundation. How has this partnership helped shape or support your artistic journey?

Arts Connection has been a constant source of support and encouragement. They've created such a supportive community for artists, and I'm grateful to be a part of it. Their guidance has been invaluable.

  • The fair is showcasing a variety of styles and mediums. How does your work fit within or challenge this diverse lineup?

I wouldn't say I have a completely unique style, but I think I've developed a pretty distinct voice within the collage world over the years. It's cool to be part of such a diverse group of artists, and I think my work adds a little something different to the mix.

  • Feria Clandestina focuses on breaking traditional molds and fostering cultural exchange. What impact do you hope your work will have on this community?

I started making art with just my phone and a few basic tools. I want people to see that you don't need a fancy studio or expensive materials to create something amazing. I hope my work inspires others to start creating, no matter their circumstances.

  • *What message or feeling do you want people to walk away with after experiencing "Wonders"?

I hope my art creates a strong emotional connection with the viewer. I want people to feel something, whether it's joy, sadness, or something in between. The beauty of art is that it can evoke so many different feelings.

  • What excites you most about being part of this edition of Feria Clandestina, and what are you looking forward to next in your career?

Being part of Feria Clandestina is an amazing opportunity to connect with other artists and share my work. I'm excited to see how my pieces resonate with people and to be part of such a vibrant art community. Moving forward, I want to keep pushing my artistic boundaries and exploring new mediums.
